Trade Secrets
Featuring Dan the frustrated programmer and Fred the Office Sloth...

When I started working for CRAP they made me sign an NDA, or "Non Disclosure Agreement", since they were dreaded of the possibility that I'll sell trade secrets to the company's business competitors. I think asking me to sign an NDA was totally pointless, for two reasons: The first, I consider the act of selling trade secrets as a shameful betrayal of the trust placed in me; The second, no one in their right mind would ever consider paying me for the useless crap that I know.
Anyway, while it's a cool way of making money, I do remind you that intellectual property theft is probably illegal in your country, and it's most certainly frowned upon by the community. Unless you live in China, there it's considered common practice.
On a completely different note, you probably noticed this week's episode was published as a strip (as opposed to a full comic page). I'll most likely continue doing strips, pages, and even double and triple pagers, but I'll be happy to hear from you – do you prefer reading your comics as strips, pages, or do you not really care? Leave me a comment!

Strips are slightly better, since you get to the punchline quicker that way.
I don't mind so long it's funny, and it is!
You said "no one in their right mind would ever consider paying me for the useless crap that I know", as an unemployed programmer this is reality for me :-). Just wanted you to know.
Strips are nice and fun to read but are too short, I prefer pages.
Anything is fine as long it is on a regular basis.
I'm with "Aint no Saint"...
Now get back to work!
I rather prefer a book... The longer the better !!!
pages are prefered. they have more to read - and in crap, as you know, we have lots of time :)
pages.
unless the strip come more regularly...
Thank you all for commenting. It seems most of you don't mind the format, but there's still a slight tendency for pages. I guess I'll continue to do a mixture of both, depending of what suits the story...
@Renana, hang in there. The economic crisis will hopefully be over soon, and then, well, there would be employers willing to hire you just for being a programmer whose name starts with an "R" (after all, you guys are rare - did you know that statistically only 3.8% of programmers have names that start with an "R"?)
@Gili, that's where I'm aiming, publishing a book on each post. I'm almost there, I just have to make that first million so I could hire a staff of writers and artists - and then, the sky is the limit...
Apperantly in our crapy company the most common name is Gil...
Everytime that our C.E.O. talks to us he "thanks" Gil for everything...
I agree that strips are faster in pace. However, many buildups you used insofar for the story take much more space and action than a classic strip can provide.
I think that if it is not too much trouble it would be wise to mix and variate between the two modes of creation, finding the right one for each episode.
Another downside of strips is that it is harder to build your characters with that medium, and you have to rely heavily on stereotypes to do so.
O.
Thanks for the encoragments. I'm actialy now working as a freelance, taking this oppertunity to try and make some of my own ideas work for me.
By the way, where i used to work the most common letter was e (eyal, elad and so) :-).
I prefer Pages sSince it can show the whole situation instead of just aim and shot for the target.Pages is more fun from my point of view.
Keep up the good work.
Love your stuff.
mix it all.
Strips!
